if you’ve been my friend for more than a minute, you know my feelings on vulnerability. it’s harder than anything to allow yourself to be vulnerable + potentially be criticized, judged or talked about. but when you finally make the jump, your world changes. your mind opens + you view the world differently. some of you know my story of heartbreak, some of you don’t. it’s a defining moment in my life as we know it. it’s not something I want to dwell on, but it’s a big reason I am who I am today + it’s propelled me into my currently life which is why I am so open with it. recently I recorded a podcast with a local celeb (@falenkdwb) talking all about it. today that podcast hit the air. you can check it out here: http://bit.ly/HolyShitIReallyDidThis holy shit is an understatement. 🖤✨

I’ve almost thrown him outside to turn into an icicle six times today because I’m convinced he is part devil. but then he makes this stupid cute face + tilts his stupid wrinkly head + I end up giving him another chance. nine lives? try again. this dude has already blown through nine thousand.

cookies are one giant way to get into my heart (as are dogs, donuts, coffee, words of affirmations, acts of service. okay I’ll stop, this isn’t a dating site). so when my friend from cali sent me some of her homemade, almost-too-beautiful-to-eat creations this week along with another gift that made me cry (Lola pillows 😍😭), I couldn’t resist digging in (I have no willpower but that’s another story for another post). I mean, I did take a big risk by spending my afternoon with pre-teens + risking my life skiing, right? I think I’ll have another after this one. so if you’re in the sunny state of california, or anywhere else assuming she’ll ship (🤞🏼), you gotta go follow my beautiful friend @tamster61 on the ‘gram + facebook. not only is she talented, but she’s an amazing human, too!

I read something once that said ‘you decide if being alone is loneliness or freedom’ and it forever changed my perspective. thankful to have had the open mindedness to see things from a different point of view because it has changed the course of my life forever. 🖤✨
