I do not really know what I can DO right now to make the world a better place, but the idea of documenting the current reality seems necessary.

thursday, january 8th, two thousand and twenty six.

yesterday in Minneapolis (around 36th and Portland), a woman (white, american citizen) was shot multiple times, in the face and head, as she was attempting to drive her vehicle away from an ICE barricade. she was, like many Minnesotans are, protesting the aggressive ICE presence happening lately in Minnesota. this current governmental regime has decided that aggressive and violent removal of undocumented persons is what is necessary to clean up this country. this country, by the way, that has only been established for 249 years as of the date of this post. this country, that was founded by way of people from all over the world emigrating here (some by choice, some by desperation, some by no choice of their own while the humans that occupied this land before its takeover were killed or displaced).

while it’s too soon for any type of investigation to have been completed, and with a real possibility that the public won’t be made aware of any details, the video of the incident and murder is all over. for a while now, the public has been adamant in video taping any presence of ICE officers, as it is widely known that they’re causing disruption, at times pulling people from cars, using pepper spray, physical force, and more. we the people are aware that this day in age, recording anything is one way to feel even a semblance of protection.

I am blogging this today, mainly for my own good. I want to be able to, years from now, read back and see what was going on. time has a way of desaturating memory, details and feelings, and well, quite honestly, this is already being painted in a different light by officials and people with another agenda.

my intention is to throw up links, but also screen shots because often links and websites can be shut down, and censored.

my own personal feelings are that we citizens and people of the US are being gaslit by a narcissistic regime of entitled white men, and I am angry. I am hurt, scared, and fucking mad. I also know that is exactly what they want – our outrage fuels them, and distracts us from deeper truths and doings. so while I will feel deeply, and express those feelings to the fullest, I will also not allow it to remove the truth of the universe. love will always win. I will continue to romanticize my life in the smallest, most seemingly minuscule of ways, because at the end of the day, this existence is truly magical. watching this in real time is teaching me – my consciousness that never dies, just changes forms – so many beautiful truths. so until the aliens finally come to beam me the fuck up out of this place, I will do anything in my power to exude love. even if I am breathing fire while I do it.
